Professional Intern: Hospitality and Workplace | Design Development and Construction Documentation | finish and fixture selections, detailing and documentation, vendor communications, and client presentations | Revit, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), Rhino, Microsoft Suite, and Bluebeam.

During my eight months at Gensler in Houston, I had the opportunity to work with in two studios, workplace and hospitality. As an Interior Design Intern, the majority of my time was focused towards one project in each studio.

My first co-op experience with Gensler’s Workplace studio was a complete renovation of an AIG branch office building in Olathe, Kansas. I worked with as a part of a two person design team to complete the design and construction documentation, spatial arrangements, finish details, material selection, lighting specification, and client presentations for the renovation of the entire site.

My second co-op experience with Gensler’s Hospitality studio was mainly focused on a large, confidential resort in South America. I worked as a part of a large team across two Gensler offices on the design and construction documentation, spatial arrangements, finish details, and client presentations for the guest rooms as well as public spaces.
